Current recommendations for physical activity in non-pregnant adults with diabetes include:

150 mins of moderate to high intensity aerobic exercise per week spread over at least 3 days with no more than 2 consecutive days of exercise

Resistance exercise at least twice per week

Sitting for no longer than 30 minutes at a time

The intensity and duration of physical activity may need to be reduced due to comorbidities e.g. heart disease, neuropathy etc.

Ensure adequate footwear if increased foot risk
